Hotel Baia Azul - Funchal (Madeira)

My family had such a fun time enjoying the two swimming pools, especially the kids' area that kept the little ones entertained for hours! We loved the varied dining options available and appreciated the spacious room with an amazing sea view. It was perfect to unwind with mom and soak in the beautiful surroundings.

My kids wished the breakfast had more choices, especially since we stayed for a week. It could be great to have a few more kid-friendly options available.

The room was spacious and included a balcony with an really good sea view. It had air conditioning, a tv, and a minibar. The shower was great with body soap and shampoo provided. Absolutely loved the spa facilities for a relaxing experience. Breakfast had a huge variety, from fresh fruits to pastries.

The room we had included a storage, a small balcony, and a spacious closet. It boasted fantastic views on the 10th floor. The location was unbeatable, at walking distance from Lido. There was a fabulous restaurant at walking distance from the hotel...

Location good but not central, good connection to the public buses, great view. the breakfast was good, the coffee unfortunately not at all

unfortunately it was a bit cool in the room, air condition/heating system did not work - but I got a second duvet immediately

Lovely staff and super clean rooms, but pool loungers need an upgrade.

The location was magnificent and beautiful, wonderful to sleep with the doors open with the sound of the sea, the hotel overlooked sea.

Lobby, rooms and sun terrace as well as the bar are very nicely arranged and furnished.

Baia Azul offers amazing ocean views, stylish decor, and great service. The breakfast spread impressed me greatly, though the sunbeds felt a bit worn. A good experience, perfect for an art lover like me.

The Baia Azul provided excellent amenities including a well-equipped business center that facilitated my work needs. The breakfast selections were diverse, with options ranging from organic juices to freshly baked pastries. The staff was efficient and attentive, ensuring all my requests were met promptly and professionally.

The doors slam very loud. Also in the room. And the chairs made of sheet metal that slide back and forth lamely

Nice spacious hotel. Friendly staff. Location good when compared to the town (outside) and bus stops (next to). Very clean swimming pool. Quiet fridge in room. Sea View. Hot water always available..Always able to get a table immediately at breakfast. Early bird continental breakfast started at 0430.

Breakfast buffet always the same. Tiny plates. Charges for sauna (EUR5 30m/pp) and jacuzzi (EUR6 30m/pp) way too high. Evening entertainment sometimes poor (not always). Cocktails not always made correctly.

Large spacious rooms. Every day a different present in the room (fresh fruit, patisserie)

After checking out, I realized I left my purse in the room. Despite the fact that after approximately 6h I informed the hotel that I had forgotten it, the bag never appeared again. I went to the hotel twice after that, but the bag was not found. That was pretty annoying.
